Flames 2012:
FLAMES GO 2 - 0!!!
The Flames won its second game of the young 2012 season with a win over the NO. CO. Wolfpack. A week earlier in the kick off game for the season, the Flames bested the undefeated Thunder 38 - 16 in COS. Saturday's game was an away game as the Flames traveled to north Denver. QB O. Burke put the Flames on the board in the 1st quarter with a 45 yard pass to receiver K. Cross. The team never looked back as the final score was 59 - 27. Outstanding player for the game included SS C. Christensen, 2 interceptions, WR D. Goggens 102 yard K/O Return and a 35 yard TD pass from QB J. Everett, QB's O. Burke and J. Everett who combined for 7 TD passes and RB K. Cook who was the team's leading rusher. The Flames return home this next week as they will host the Denver Pirates. The teams are arch rivals and both are undefeated for the season. Should make for a great game and the Flames will also host its annual Military Appreciation game. Military personnel who present a military ID will enter the game free. The game will be at the Flames home field, Cheyenne Mountain H.S and game time is 7:00 p.m. KRDO Radio will also broadcast the game on 105.5 FM.
